This is my heart. This is where I share the insights and lessons I've learned from both my Heavenly Father and my Earthly Father. Some of these lessons weren't cemented until I actually became a father and began to see myself and my immortality in my offspring. It’s a sobering realization: that everything that they will have, know and become will in some way- either directly or indirectly, purposefully and accidentally- be irrevocably tied back to you, as their parent.

This is where my interaction with my children, as a father, has deepened my relationship and resolve in Jesus. It’s strange to think how your entire paradigm shifts when you become a parent. At least it did for me. Fatherhood has shown me the importance of grace and help to solidify that this faith walk is a process. You can’t rush it and it cannot bypass it. Step by step, day by day- we build, trudge and forge out our destiny and identities.

When it’s all said and done, this will be a part of the legacy I wish to leave for my children. That they may be able to understand the thoughts of their father, see my heart and learn from my trials and triumphs.
